The Challenge
Lead Alliance encountered issues with keeping track of employee information, new hires, and employee training and development as all were kept in spreadsheets which could get clunky. In some instances, they would have 20 new hires turn up and at times the HR team were not aware that a new employee was starting. A new system was needed that was easy to use with great reports, particularly around new hires.
The Solution
Lead Alliance chose BambooHR as their preferred HR system as it is designed for small to medium sized businesses with excellent reporting features, satisfaction surveys, and the ability to streamline their onboarding process to fill in the gaps!
Outcome 1: Ease of use for all levels
BambooHR was easy to implement as full admins. A lot of their other colleagues were jealous of how simple the process was in comparison to other systems such as an accounting software. At an employee level, their engagement skyrocketed as people feel more and more comfortable sharing feedback using the surveys in the system. The HR team are able to now confidently report back to stakeholders on feedback received and make data driven decisions to improve company culture.
Outcome 2: Simplified hiring and onboarding process
Through BambooHR, Lead Alliance are now able to streamline their hiring and onboarding process, automating tasks and avoiding surprises on the start date of new hires. Doing away with clunky excel spreadsheets has enabled them to run quick reports on new hires arriving each week and give them a warm and professional welcome before they even arrive at the office.
Outcome 3: Integration with TalentLMS
Lead Alliance utilised TalentLMS, a learning management system that integrates seamlessly with BambooHR. Because of this, they were able to send over training videos and documents to their contractors in a timely manner, covering all the information required to keep their contractors skilled in their line of work.
With over 1,000 contractors and staff, this saved their trainers an immense amount of time delivering courses. Feedback from their staff were enormously positive due to the ease of using the system. Best part is that all the training information can be easily reported on in BambooHR with the integration to TalentLMS.
Outcome 4: Employee Experience
Having BambooHR and TalentLMS in place allowed the HR team and Trainers to effectively provide an engaging employee experience for all their staff and contractors. Employees were able to quickly access information about themselves and complete online tasks and performance appraisals. This self-service capability drastically reduced admin time and work for the HR team also.
