Is the BambooHR -TalentLMS integration, two-way?

Yes, the integration fully supports two-way syncing, enabling both employee data and course information to move seamlessly between BambooHR and TalentLMS. This means that any changes made in BambooHR—such as new hires or job updates—are automatically reflected in TalentLMS, ensuring your records remain accurate and up to date across both systems.

In return, TalentLMS updates BambooHR with the latest courses completed by employees and published new courses. This creates a smooth, connected experience for both administrators and employees.
Why integrate BambooHR and TalentLMS?

Integrating BambooHR and TalentLMS means you no longer have to spend time manually updating information across both systems. All employee details and completed training courses automatically sync between the platforms, ensuring your records are always accurate and up to date. Managers and HR teams can conveniently view completed training, monitor progress, and maintain compliance records — all from within BambooHR or TalentLMS.
How often does information sync?

The data sync happens on a daily basis. You also have the option to push a manual sync if you need a change reflected in TalentLMS immediately.
Can we map custom fields to TalentLMS?

Not at this time. TalentLMS has a list of employee fields that can be synced from BambooHR to TalentLMS, namely:

- jobTitle (text)
- employeeNumber (text)
- hireDate (date)
- department (text)
- division (text)
- location (text)
- country (text)
- city (text)
- state (text)
- supervisor (text)
- dateOfBirth (date)

These are not default fields in TalentLMS, but can be created using the same field name and type for the data sync to work.
