About Wanganui Vets

Wanganui Veterinary Services is a mixed veterinary practice with a dedicated team of vets and support staff passionate about applying their skills to assisting all animals and their health in the Whanganui region.

The practice was one of the very first in New Zealand to gain BEST PRACTICE accreditation and is always looking to further improve our services.

The Challenge

Before BambooHR was implemented, Wanganui Vets struggled with operational inefficiencies that took up more time then it needed to. One noticeable problem was the inconsistent way in which employee data and administrative responsibilities were managed. Follow-ups or reminders for significant deadlines had the potential to fall through the gaps.

Furthermore, obtaining important documents and data was quite a process and often required physical access to the office. 

The hiring process posed its own set of issues when there is no system involved. The recruitment process from creating a job advert, communication with the applicant and onboarding was all done manually and took up a lot of time.
